Our Adoption Process

 

Thank you for choosing to adopt!

 

Please see our adoption process below:

 

1. Download and complete an adoption application by clicking here above. 

2. ​Complete and submit the form to MiraclesforSatosRescue@gmail.com

3. Should you have any questions during this time, please feel free to email us.

4. Please note that only complete applications with necessary documentation will be processed.

5. We will review your application, conduct reference checks, etc.

6.  We will schedule a virtual home check and interview that takes approximately 30 minutes duirng which time we will see your home, property, talk to you about adoption, personality of the dog and their needs and answer any questions you may have.

7. Once your interview is complete, we will contact  you to let you know if you are approved. You will then submit the adoption fee, review the contract, and we will then arrange for transport from PR to NY/NJ. If your dog is already in NY, can arrange for a meet and greet prior to payment.

Please to note:

1. Your application must be submitted with required supporting documents. All fields on the contract must be initialed and by all applicants.

2. All dogs and family members in your current household must be on the virtual house tour and interview.

3. You must be 25 years of age to adopt. To foster, you must be 21. We do make exceptions on a case by case basis, however.

 

Adoption Fees

     $550: puppies up to 9 years

     $475: dogs 9 years +

 

Please note that your adoption fee goes toward covering any costs that we have already incurred prior to adoption including but not limited to: vetting/ medical, spay/neuter, food & supplies, housing/shelter, surgery or dental procedures if needed. Fees also help enable us to save other animals in need.
